Festival of Flowers

 

2009 marks the Festival of Flowers' 20th anniversary. To celebrate, the usual 10-day Festival will be extended to an anniversary season. The Festival will be officially opened on Friday 20 February in Cathedral Square, with a number of garden installations in the city centre and floral and other exhibitions on view. From 11-16 March, to coincide with the first Ellerslie International Flower Show in Christchurch, the internationally acclaimed Floral Carpet & Decorations, along with an extensive music programme, will be staged in Christchurch Cathedral.
